Tagua Eco-Jewellery - Handmade Sustainable Fairtrade

Fairtrade, natural, sustainable, empowering, beautiful and well made!

The result of collaboration with family co-operatives in Equador, Brazil and Colombia, the jewellery is entirely handmade. The raw material is shaped, stained with organic dyes and then polished by families of artisans through an association of co-operative craft workshops.

The trade of Tagau (or Vegetable Ivory) Jewellery helps stimulate local economies in South America and mitigates the alternative of cutting down trees for farming. 

Tagua is used as a sustainable alternative to elephant ivory, in one year the Tagua palm produces 20kg of vegetable ivory, the same amount an elephant produces in a lifetime.
